Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui
Bolivian sociologist and intellectual Silvia Rivera Cusicanqui (born in 1949 in La Paz) is one of the leading figures in contemporary Latin American critical thought. At the intersection of sociology, visual studies, and decolonial thought, her work offers an original reflection on the forms of knowledge produced within Andean societies and on the relationships between images, memory, coloniality, and social practices.
