ION

ION is a publishing house founded in 2010 in Angoulême, led by Benoît Preteseille, a cartoonist and comic book author. Through ION, he aims to publish books centered on drawing—a collection of small booklets that straddle the line between artist's books and illustration anthologies. ION publishes a wide range of discoveries, unclassifiable works, female comic book artists, eccentric artists, illustrators, tattoo artists, and photographers who, alongside their professional work, cultivate a drawing practice that is sometimes secretive, original, and experimental.
