TextWork #1–40

 - TextWork #1–40
A survey of the French contemporary art scene through an anthology of forty monographic essays.
Since its launch in 2017, the TextWork program has carved out a unique online space and platform for dialogue between writing and contemporary art. Developed by the Fondation Pernod Ricard with the support of the French Ministry of Culture, the program aims to elevate the global profile of the French art scene by positioning critical thought as a vital form of support for artists. TextWork facilitates exchanges between artists based in France and international writers, leading to the creation of in-depth critical texts. Far more than just an editorial initiative, it offers artists sustained focus on their practices at pivotal moments in their careers. For many emerging artists, these texts serve as their first critical monograph, while for more established figures, they uncover new dimensions of their work and present fresh interpretations. The publication of the first 40 monographic texts marks a significant milestone, forming the backbone of a growing archive that reflects a constantly evolving art scene.
